JOB SUMMARY

As the Operations Manager, you are a key upper-level manager ensuring Service Professor is performing to its best potential.  Your big-picture perspective will be shared throughout Service Professor’s Call-Center, Dispatch Department, Warehouse, Mechanical, Electrical Department, Plumbing Department, HVAC Department, Accounting Department, Human Resources and all other pertinent areas of the company.  Your upbeat management style will be utilized to manage effectively using good listening, motivation and communication skills. You will have oversight of multiple budgets within the company covering individual departments.  You will be responsible for analyzing organizational processes looking for way to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enthusiastically lead staff in sales, service, installation, warehouse, fleet, call center and dispatch.
  • Manages real-time operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and financial goals.
  • Lead Manager Accountability.
  • Contributes in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning processes.
  • Bring more energy than you take; your positivity sets the tone.
  • Develop, implement and maintain operational budget to achieve revenue/profit goals: Responsible for profit and loss related activities.
  • Work closely with departmental managers in identifying & resolving issues same day.
  • Support technicians by motivating, training and assisting them.
  • KPI Tracking.
  • Ensure dispatch operations distributes evenly and appropriately to technicians based on technician experience, ability, availability and priority of the job.
  • Develop and monitor sales growth forecasts.
  • Build enthusiastic relationship with the Call Center to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead teams in both short term and long-term growth strategies.
  • Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles and meetings.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews showing how individual contributions matter to the company’s success.
  • Work close with Human Resources in team management with hiring, terminating, discipline and documentation.
  • Team with the Warehouse Manger for inventory, vendor and daily necessities.
  • Ability to perform all duties/responsibilities with vigor and in a timely manner in accordance with established company policies.
  • Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Keeps President, Vice-President and departmental managers promptly and fully informed of all problems, or unusual matter of significance, and takes prompt action where necessary.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested for this position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

·      4 year degree in Operation Management, Business Management or equivalent.
·      5-7 year previous operations management experience.
·      Proven experience supervising, coaching and developing staff.
·      Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment and ownership is a must.
·      Basic knowledge of skilled trades:  HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain consistent contact with customers and vendors to address any business needs
  • Lead Manage Accountability (LMA)
  • Initiate and manage all promotional activities for plumbing products
  • Maintain high technical knowledge of plumbing products
  • Perform “trouble-shooting” for problems relating to plumbing products

  • Technician training, motivation and assistance
  • Vendor pricing negotiation
  • Ability to achieve gross profit goals
  • Coordinate purchase of items to meet specific customer needs
  • Recommend to Purchasing Department new product additions and deletions to meet customer demands
  • Assist clients with special requests and problems (supply information, resolve complaints)
  • Prepare and present special quotations
  • Gather competitive information
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Attend sales and product review meetings
  • Keep records as required
  • Stay abreast of product developments, changes in local codes and consumer preferences
  • Provide performance plans and feedback for assigned staff
  • Monitor attendance of staff and make appropriate recommendations
  • Assist in and/or perform all functions involving the hiring, promoting and releasing of staff
  • Attend daily, weekly and annual meetings
  • Education and training duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Journeyman’s and/or Masters License Preferred
  • College degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Progressive management experience with demonstrated success

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Performs installation for residential and light commercial plumbing systems.

· Residential plumbing installations.

· Troubleshooting.

· Mentoring, Coaching and Teaching Apprentices.

· Explain the job before and after installation with the client to gain understanding.

· Ensure that the client is 100% satisfied with all work upon completion.

· Offer customer plumbing system maintenance hints & tips to maintain system performance.

· Maintains compliance with all regulatory and statutory regulations adhering to company safety policies.

· Maintains a clean and organized job site and work vehicle.

· Completes each job with a focus on safety, a sense of urgency and with the utmost quality.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· High School Diploma/GED

· Journeyman’s License (or eligible to test immediately) or Equivalent experience Required

· Able to obtain DOT

· 1+ Years of plumbing installation experience

· Must display strong communication skills and technical competence.

· Possess strong understanding of the most recent codes.

· Must be fluent in English (reading/writing).

· Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

· Must be able to work in confined spaces and be able to bend, lift, carry, stoop, crawl, sit, stand, drive, reach above, walk, push, pull, fine manipulation, and use hands frequently.

· Must be able to pass both drug testing and background check

Under the direction of the Sewer and Plumbing Managers, the Excavator & Sewer/Water Installer is responsible for operating medium to heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner during excavation projects for residential and light commercial properties. This position will also be a team member responsible for sewer pipe replacing by Pipe Bursting, installing Sewer Lining, replacing sewer and water services which may or may not include excavating. They are also responsible for digging ditches/trenches and performing general labor duties when not operating a piece of equipment. Knowledge in operating medium to heavy machineries such as mini excavator, backhoe, Bobcat, skid loaders and other similar equipment is required.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Backfill excavations and level earth to grade specifications
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Dig ditches or trenches
  • Be an essential member of the sewer and water installation team
  • Perform safety and maintenance checks on machines
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Perform job duties as directed by supervisor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
